i'm familiar with the anime series and dead apple, and i'm making my way through the manga. i plan to start the novel at some point. basically my depth with yosano is a bit limited in terms of details with her past, therefore making me more headcanon based.

when yosano was a child, she was drafted into a physician's ( mori ) infantry corps as a medical scholar during the great war, where she used her abilities to heal wounded soldiers on the brink of death. she was exploited for her abilities, realizing she was sentencing soldiers to their death over and over for the sake of war. no longer able to live with her purpose, she refused to heal soldiers but was cornered by her lead physician and later turned on by the soldiers.

she was detained after being caught with explosives for the ship, seeking to end the suffering. three years later, she was recruited into the recently established armed detective agency.

yosano works as the ada's resident physician and private investigator, taking on cases herself while also tending to wounded agents. because her abilities require patients to be on the brink of death, she resorts to violently hurting her patients to heal them - often displaying excitement in getting to do so. otherwise, she would demonstrate typical doctoral treatment and procedures.

she lives within the ada's dormitory, exclusively by herself after standing her ground in maintaining her space. when not working, she can be found shopping ( as she has a small shopping addiction ), adhering to her daily routines, or volunteering at various clinics due to equipment or staff shortages.

⠀grishaverse.⠀ ⠀⠀born in shu, she was exploited by the shu crown as experiments were conducted on grisha and would be forced to heal subjects over and over again, mercilessly condemning subjects to be tortured endlessly. having reached her psychological limit on what she was doing, she tried to leave and ended up being detained - later experimented on with her abilities with parem, forever altering her abilities. she was later broken out by a group of rebels rescuing grisha.

for some time, she feared she lost her powers for good as she could not heal normally, but later discovered she could only heal on the brink of death. she escaped to katterdam as a child, getting pulled into port mafia affairs for some time. after managing to escape, she's recruited into a newly formed, elusive, private group with ties to the tide council that investigates ketterdam cases: the laatste vaarwel ( the last farewell ), whose base rests over an affiliated tavern called de avonden ( the evenings ).
